JOB INTERVIEWS FOR SELECTED CANDIDATES WILL BE HELD THE WEEK OF JULY 13, 2026
Do you have a desire to better the lives of local seniors and people living with disabilities in Nevada County? Join the Adult Services Social Worker team in the Nevada County Department of Social Services! Our team of knowledgeable and experienced Social Workers handle advanced and intensive case management services for Adult Services clients. These Social Workers require an in-depth understanding of daily living activities, cognitive impairments, family dynamics, mental health issues and substance abuse, and domestic violence. We are currently recruiting for one (1) Social Worker to join our Adult Services team within the In-Home Support Services Program. This position requires initiative to take detailed notes during the training process, ability to comprehend State regulations, determination, strong organizational skills, thorough case management skills, extensive case documentation, and a passion to see some of our most vulnerable community members receive the services they need to remain healthy in their home. These positions both require the ability and willingness to make in-home visits with clients to assess health, safety, and social assessments. Strong candidates excel in a work environment that is fast paced, team oriented, and are able to adapt to unforeseen circumstances.
NOTE:
Due to required field visits, teleworking is not an option with this position.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Associate or Arts or Science degree from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral sciences, sociology, public health, psychology, gerontology or a related degree AND one year of experience comparable to Nevada County's classification of Social Worker I or Employment and Training Worker I. OR Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree from an accredited college or university in social or behavioral sciences, sociology, social work, public health, psychology, gerontology or a related degree AND one year of experience performing social work case management.
