In this vital role, you will oversee the management of workers' compensation claims, ensuring efficient case processing and optimal resolution for injured employees. Your expertise will help streamline communication between all parties involved, facilitate timely claim resolutions, and support the overall wellbeing of our workforce. Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of workers' compensation claims, from initial reporting through resolution, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Conduct thorough case reviews, including legal research and document review, to determine claim validity and appropriate course of action. Coordinate with medical providers, insurance carriers, legal teams, and injured employees to facilitate effective communication and timely updates. Maintain accurate case files using legal case management systems such as PCLaw and iManage; ensure all documentation is complete and properly filed. Perform legal research related to workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and relevant regulations to support case decisions. Draft detailed reports, correspondence, and legal documents with precision, proofreading for accuracy and clarity. Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and managing document review processes while maintaining high organizational standards. Support litigation efforts when necessary by preparing case summaries and coordinating with external legal counsel. Qualifications Proven experience in legal administrative support or paralegal roles within a law office or corporate legal department. Strong knowledge of workers' compensation law along with familiarity with related areas such as personal injury law and occupational health regulations. Proficiency in legal research tools including Merus. Skilled in project management with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience using document management systems like iManage or similar platforms; adept at data entry and document review processes. Excellent organizational skills complemented by strong writing skills for drafting reports and correspondence. Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally via phone etiquette and interpersonal interviewing techniques. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities including research, proofreading, transcription, and contract review while maintaining attention to detail.
