Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a lasting difference in the lives of high school students for the 2026/27 school year as a Mental Health Case Worker providing much-needed support and guidance. This contract position is ideal for a passionate LMFT or LCSW ready to work collaboratively within an educational environment, serving students in grades 9-12. The assignment starts August 12, 2026, and concludes on June 3, 2027. You'll manage a supportive caseload of 28-30 students, helping them navigate social, emotional, and academic challenges.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field Current, active LMFT or LCSW licensure required Previous experience as a school social worker or mental health case worker, preferably in a high school setting Skilled in providing direct individual and group counseling Strong communication, advocacy, and collaboration skills Able to develop individualized care plans and maintain case documentation in line with legal and ethical standards
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct individual and group counseling to students on your caseload Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support students' mental health and well-being Develop, implement, and monitor intervention plans tailored to individual student needs Serve as a liaison between students, families, and external resources Maintain detailed, confidential records and deliver regular progress updates Address crisis situations promptly and with sensitivity This role is structured for a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM, within a welcoming and student-centered school environment.
