About Us TheraPeds Partners is a therapist-owned and operated organization. We partner with schools to provide School Social Worker (SW) services to PreK-12 students nationwide. As a team of special education providers, we understand the education process, IDEA requirements, and the importance of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Our mission is to deliver high-quality School Social Worker (SW) services while making meaningful connections in a collaborative learning environment. Job Description and Responsibilities This is a full-time, on site role as a School Social Worker serving a school located in San Mateo, CA. The School Social Worker (SW) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents), supporting students according to their IEP. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs. Job Details Full-time, school-based opportunity with a 35-hour weekly schedule 2026-2027 academic year (August 2026 through May/June 2027) Seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) ; Spanish-English bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply Provide comprehensive mental health and behavioral health services for high school students (grades 9-12) Conduct student assessments, crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, consultation with school teams, and support multidisciplinary planning Collaborate with administrators, teachers, families, and community providers to promote student well-being and academic success Guaranteed paid hours include direct services, documentation, treatment planning, meetings, and other professional responsibilities Fully on-site, in-person position within a collaborative school environment Ongoing partnership and support from both the school district and the TheraPeds team Well-balanced caseloads designed to support quality care and positive student outcomes Competitive compensation of $55-$85+ per hour , with estimated weekly earnings of $1,925-$2,975+ Requirements Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program and current LCSW licensure required. Completion of 900 hours of supervised practicum/fieldwork in social work settings Experience working with children or school-aged students preferred Knowledge of IEPs, special education law, and behavior intervention planning 2+ years of experience (preferred but not required) Organizational and time management skills Proficient in use of technology Fingerprint background clearance Physical Requirements Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
