Candidates must possess and maintain one of the following valid California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) credentials: Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Candidates must hold a master's degree in Social Work or a related behavioral health field. California BBS licensure standards apply. Essential Responsibilities Provide individual, group, and crisis counseling services to K-12 students Conduct mental health assessments and support development of intervention plans Collaborate with IEP teams, school psychologists, administrators, teachers, and families Support students experiencing emotional, behavioral, social, or mental health challenges Participate in threat assessments, safety planning, and crisis response when needed Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with district, HIPAA, FERPA, and BBS standards Provide consultation and behavioral support strategies to school staff Assist with student de-escalation, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution Connect students and families with community mental health resources and referrals Attend team meetings, case conferences, and professional development trainings Promote a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed school environment Preferred Qualifications Experience working in K-12 schools, ERMHS, special education, or youth behavioral health Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based counseling services Experience supporting students with autism, emotional disturbance, ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, or behavioral challenges Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary educational teams Compensation & Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience and licensure Paid time off Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with employer matching Weekly direct deposit Single point of contact Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in local school communities Compensation Range Associate-level clinicians (ASW): approximately $55-$70/hour Fully licensed clinicians (LCSW): approximately $75-$95/hour Compensation is dependent on experience, district placement, assignment scope, and specialized qualifications.
