Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding opportunity supporting high school students as a Mental Health Case Worker in a dynamic school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract role focuses on grades 9-12 and calls for expertise in school social work or marriage and family therapy. The district is seeking a passionate professional dedicated to improving student mental well-being and fostering a positive, supportive campus atmosphere.
Key Qualifications:
Active and valid LMFT or LCSW license required Experience providing mental health support to adolescents Background in school-based social work, counseling, or family therapy Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families, and outside resources Demonstrated knowledge of adolescent development and crisis intervention
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of approximately 28-30 high school students in need of case management and counseling Conduct individual and group counseling sessions during school hours Develop, implement, and monitor personalized care plans for students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote students' social, emotional, and academic success Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards Provide crisis intervention and referrals to community services as appropriate
Position Details:
Assignment runs from August 12, 2026 to June 3, 2027 Full 35-hour work week: Monday through Friday, 8:15 am - 3:45 pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break) Work directly on-site in a high school setting If you're passionate about making a positive impact on teens' mental health and ready to bring your expertise to a supportive educational environment, don't miss this chance!
