Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful and rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based social worker, making a direct impact on students' lives in Connecticut. Two short-term positions are available to provide essential support and continuity while covering for leaves. Candidates should be eager to engage with students, collaborate with school staff, and respond quickly to changing needs in an educational environment.
What We're Looking For:
Active CT DPH license and CT (071) certification are required Previous experience working as a social worker in a school setting Ability to thrive in short-term or leave coverage assignments Strong communication and collaboration skills Comfortable supporting either high school or elementary-aged students Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday (35 hours per week) Flexibility regarding assignment duration as start/end dates may vary Ready to interview via Zoom for a smooth and efficient hiring process
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive support, counseling, and crisis intervention for students Collaborate with faculty, families, and external resources to drive student success Maintain up-to-date documentation and support compliance with state guidelines Assess and respond to the evolving emotional and behavioral needs of your assigned caseload Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, student-centered environment
