Program Manager, Youth Services Job Description Location:

Exempt About Us Inspirica is a mission-driven 501C3 organization dedicated to providing housing and comprehensive services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. With multiple programs and diverse grant funding sources, we work to create sustainable solutions that empower our residents and strengthen our community.
Position Overview:
The Program Manager, Youth Services oversees and coordinates services for children ages 5-17 residing in our emergency shelter. This role focuses on promoting positive youth development, strengthening parent- child relationships, and supporting the well-being of the entire family. Through structured programming, the Program Manager provides academic, social, and emotional support to school-aged children, helping them maintain stability and build resilience through after-school and summer activities. The ultimate goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and develop confidence and self- esteem.
Principal Roles, Responsibilities and Duties:
Upon a family's intake into lnspirica, assess each child to determine their needs in four key areas:
  • Education
  • Cognitive Skills
  • Social behavior
  • Developmental skills Help children enroll in school and provide as needed:
  • Tutoring programs
  • After school activities Facilitate school transportation and other protections of homeless children under the McKinney-Vento Act Run the day-to-day operations of the Youth Center, providing structure through after-school activities Act as a liaison between schools, health care providers and community groups, including organizations with which we have strategic partnerships Counsel parents and children, in groups and individually, discussing child-parent issues, including peer pressure, anger management, academic achievement, and self-esteem Identify children in need of PPTs/504/IEPs and facilitate the process between the families and the school Coordinate services with other lnspirica programs, including Family Housing, Education, Employment, Housing Coordination and Retention Assist in the design and coordination of children's educational and recreational activities, including those led by community volunteers
Desired Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
Bachelor's Degree required - preferably in Social Work, Mental Health, Childhood Development or Education Masters in Mental Health, Teaching Certification, MSW, or related degree preferred 3-5 years of experience working with at-risk children, families, and homeless Minimum 2 years supervisory experience Strong computer skills (MS Windows, Outlook Word, and Excel) Excellent organizational skills Work well with clients of all ages, excellent/active listener, quick learner, and able to multitask
