  • Full-time Overview Join our dedicated team as a Family Support Specialist Supervisor
  • DeSoto in our Child Abuse Prevention Home Visiting Program serving DeSoto and Hardee counties (based in Arcadia).
In this vital leadership role, you will guide and support a team of direct service staff who work closely with families to promote healthy child development, strengthen parent-child attachment, and prevent abuse and neglect. This position offers the opportunity to foster a reflective, supportive team environment while ensuring high-quality, family-centered, and strength-based services for families with children ages 0-3. Responsibilities Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of direct service staff within the home visiting program. Provide ongoing support and reflective supervision to staff working in high-stress family environments. Oversee service delivery to ensure adherence to family-centered and strength-based practice models. Ensure program compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Support staff in addressing issues related to infant and child development, parent-child attachment, maternal-infant health, and the dynamics of child abuse and neglect. Promote culturally responsive service delivery to diverse families and communities. Facilitate team meetings and continuous quality improvement efforts to maintain excellence in prevention services. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in family services, home visitation, or prevention services serving children ages 0-3. At least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Strong understanding of infant and child development and parent-child attachment. Knowledge of maternal-infant health and the dynamics of child abuse and neglect. Experience providing services within family-centered and strength-based frameworks. Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate staff while providing support in stressful work environments.
