Job Description

Do you want a meaningful career advocating for hope, homes, and healing for children in foster care? At 4KIDS, we are looking for a compassionate and mission-driven Foster Parent Support Specialist to walk alongside foster families, provide support services, and help create stable, loving homes for children in crisis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about child welfare, thrives in relationship building, and desires to integrate faith and service into their daily work. What You'll Do Build strong relationships with foster families through ongoing support, encouragement, and regular communication Provide spiritual encouragement and prayer support to foster families Be available to assist foster families with crisis intervention and on-call support as needed Complete case documentation, reports, and required paperwork in compliance with agency and state standards Assist foster parents with navigating resources, services, and community supports Conduct home visits every 90 days and maintain regular contact with licensed foster homes Advocate for children and foster families during meetings, court proceedings, and service planning Coordinate with DCF, lead agencies, schools, medical providers, and community partners Support foster parent engagement through trainings, support groups, and social events When necessary, attend court with foster parents and advocate with Guardian Ad Litem on behalf of children placed in 4KIDS foster homes Re-license foster homes within caseload within established timelines Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field preferred Child Welfare certification preferred Commitment to Christian faith and ability to integrate faith into professional practice Minimum of one year experience working with children in crisis; foster care, child welfare, or family support services Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings for home visits or occasional weekend Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage documentation and meet deadlines Heart for ministry, service, and supporting vulnerable children and families Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation required Why join 4KIDS?
