Works with children in the after care program.

No Essential Job Functions:
1. Desire and ability to work with children both indoors and outdoors. 2. Willingness to participate in all activities with enthusiasm. 3. Demonstrate patience and self-control with children and other staff. 4. Ability to accept guidance and supervision. 5. Assist in teaching or leading an activity,as assigned. 6. Inform Administrators of any problems or concerns. 7. Follow all rules and regulations, while setting a good example for children. 8. Be knowledgeable about children's health conditions and dietary restrictions. 9. Ability to assist children who may need some extra time acclimating. 10. Enforce safety rules and regulations. (
Exa:
wearing facial coverings and maintaining social distancing) 11. Ability to work effectively with other counselors and staff.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to work all days, Monday-Friday 3:00-5:45 pm.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
1. Ability to orally communicate effectively with others. 2. Ability to communicate effectively in writing, using the English language, without the use of an interpreter. 3. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staffs at all levels. 4. Ability to successfully complete the Level II Background Screening.
Required Certifications/Licensures:
Required Education:
Must have completed 10th grade. Major (if required:
Required Experience:
Must have at least one (1) year experience working with children.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in camp or child-care program. Is this a safety sensitive position? No Background Screening Required?
