Position Title:
CPT Case Coordinator Reports to:
CPT Program Director Qualifications:
° A Bachelors or Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or another behavioral science. ° At least three years of post-bachelor experience working with children and their families with one year of that experience involving work with abused and neglected children. ° Excellent organization and communication skills. ° Ability to work with other professionals and non-professionals. ° Highly sensitive to the needs and welfare of children ° Highly self-motivated, and able to work independently when required. ° Available to work flexible hours to meet needs of clients.
QUALITY RANKING FACTORS
° Ability to communicate effectively with children and adolescents, ranging in age from infants to 17 years of age. ° Academic training or practical experience in and knowledge of developmental stages of children and the dynamics and effects of child abuse. ° Disposition toward multi-disciplinary team approach to the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases. ° Excellent written and Verbal Communication skills. ° Knowledge and Use of appropriate Professional Ethics and Standards.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The CPT Case Coordinator is responsible for services and standards as outlined in the Child Protection Team Procedure Handbook. The CPT Case Coordinator is on-call 24 hours per day, seven days per week, for emergencies. Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to: ° Interview children, family members, and significant others as needed to obtain medical and social information. 20% ° Complete assessments and send reports to the investigator within the time frames consistent with program requirements and best practice. 20% ° Coordinate client services and referral to community agencies as needed. 5% ° Arrange for and conduct team staffings and participate in the development of the recommendations . 5% ° Provide depositions and court testimony. On-going ° Maintain client records. 10% ° Conduct training in the community for professional staff and others, as designated by the team coordinator in cooperation with the Training Coordinator. 10% ° Assist in the coordination of medical exams as needed. 10% ° Participate in scheduled after hours on call. 10% ° Successful completion of continuing education standards that include a minimum of eight hours of training per year in child abuse, abandonment, and neglect. On-going ° Attend and participate in relevant Kids House staff meetings. On-going ° Attend and participate in relevant Kids House trainings. On-going ° Participate in multi-disciplinary staffings, in-service trainings, evaluation activities, and any other forum that affects the child/family. 10% ° Assist filling out victims of Crime Compensation forms. On going ° Conduct Psycho-social assessments On-going °
