A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

Position Overview:
Participate in Child Study, Collaborative Problem Solving, and IEP meetings to assess student needs and develop integrated intervention plans. Conduct student observations, interviews, and assessments across school and home settings while connecting families with appropriate community resources. Maintain accurate case documentation, reports, and student records while ensuring compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. Provide social-emotional and behavioral support to address barriers to learning and promote student engagement and academic success.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in Social Work/Social Welfare preferred; Bachelor's degree considered with current School Social Worker Certification Active Florida School Social Worker Certification or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Credential Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred Why Join Cross Country Education?
