Prior experience in a School Based position as a School Social Worker is required School Social Worker (MSW, LMSW)
  • Qualifications and Responsibilities Evaluate eligibility for special education services and placement as a member of the IEP team as defined by IDEA.
Assess social and emotional development, mental health status, and adaptive behavior relevant to case study evaluations. Use a holistic approach to assess cultural, environmental, and socio-economic factors. Determine related service needs (e.g., social work, counseling, consultation) and set goals/objectives aligned with special education eligibility. Collaborate with school staff on functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans. Share assessment findings during IEP meetings and conferences. Provide individual, group, or evidence-based curriculum instruction as required by the student's IEP. Deliver direct social work services to students. State License
