Job Description

MATURA Action Corporation is seeking a caring, motivated early childhood professional who wants to make a meaningful difference for infants, toddlers, families, and child care providers across southwest Iowa. At MATURA, you will be part of a mission-driven organization committed to supporting children, families, and communities. Your work will directly support infants and toddlers during the most important years of development while helping area child care providers grow in confidence and quality. This full-time position will work closely with MATURA's Child Care Partnership Specialist to support developmentally appropriate practices, responsive caregiving, positive classroom routines, and strong family partnerships within local child care centers. In this role, you will:
  • Provide coaching and support to child care staff working with infants and toddlers.
  • Help providers strengthen classroom practices, routines, learning environments, and adult-child interactions.
  • Support family engagement activities and parent education opportunities.
  • Assist with training, technical assistance, and follow-up support for child care partners.
  • Travel throughout MATURA's six-county service area to support partner child care providers.
An Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Services, Family Services, Education, or a closely related field is preferred. Two years' experience in a child care setting that serves infants and toddlers preferred. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with a regular weekday schedule. Occasional evening trainings or family events may be required, but these will be rare.
Benefits include:
A comprehensive insurance package, IPERS, 15 paid holidays, vacation and sick leave. Call 641-782-6201 for more information. Submit an application and resume to hsadmin@maturaia.org. Applications will be accepted until position is filled. MATURA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
