In this vital role, you will serve as a neutral, caring presence that promotes healthy family interactions while ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. Your expertise will help foster positive relationships, support child welfare, and uphold legal requirements related to family law and child protective services. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in families' lives through active engagement, crisis management, and conflict resolution. Duties Supervise scheduled visitations between children and non-custodial parents or guardians in a safe, child-friendly environment Observe and document interactions to ensure compliance with court orders and safety protocols Use motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive communication and relationship building Intervene effectively during conflicts or behavioral issues, employing conflict management strategies to de-escalate situations Collaborate with social workers, child protective services, and legal professionals to support family reunification goals Conduct crisis intervention when necessary to address emotional or behavioral crises during visits Maintain detailed records of visitation sessions, incidents, and observations in accordance with agency policies and legal standards Requirements Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, child development, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree Experience working with children and families within child welfare or family law settings Knowledge of child protective services procedures and legal requirements for supervised visitation Strong skills in crisis intervention, conflict management, and behavioral health support Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques to promote positive family interactions Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and adapt supervision strategies accordingly Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor at all times Join us as a Supervised Visitation Specialist if you're passionate about supporting families through challenging times!
