Job Description

Our Caldwell YMCA is seeking a Youth & Program Enrichment Director to join the team. This position is responsible for administering the total operation of the department within Branch and Association parameters, overseeing the safe management of programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development, and financial development within the department. This is a working supervisor position. The Caldwell YMCA opened its doors on October 27, 2005. Since that time, it has become a hallmark of the community, impacting the lives of thousands of kids and families. Facility amenities include a large cardio and weight floor, full-court basketball gym, three fitness studios, and state-of-the-art aquatics center including a lap-pool, splash pad, pretzel slide, and lazy-river.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and supervision of staff, including hiring, onboarding, role-modeling, and coaching, scheduling and on-going development for the following
Youth Programs:
-Kid Zone-YAC-Climbing Wall-Family Activity Zone-Birthday Parties-Family Nights-After School Enrichment ProgramsAttend Prime Events, including but not limited to: After School programming, Family Nights, Kids Night Out, Birthday Parties, and other Special Events, including participation during evening events (4-7pm) and weekends and/or as required for business need.

Develop and establish program controls and logistics; monitor program quality and budget to meet fiscal objectives.

Manage all aspects of programming to ensure safety expectations are met.

Market programs internally and externally according to Leading Practices.

Operate in a synergistic manner with other YMCA branches and departments to increase participation through cross-promotion and education.

Develop intentional relationships and maintain effective daily communication with participants and parents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in youth related field or equivalent experience.

Minimum three years of experience in related field.

Ability to deliver support and provide oversight across varied hours, including evenings (4-7pm) and weekends.

Background must include strong skills in human relations, budgeting and fiscal management, financial development, health and well-being management, and staff and volunteer management.

Must be able to meet YMCA transportation requirements.

Excellent human relations skills and an ability to maintain position communication with staff and members.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position at 40 hours weekly with benefits. Schedule requirement is flexible due to program delivery, operational responsibilities, meetings and interviewing/hiring/training staff. Some mornings, evenings and weekends.
