Schools near Bourbonnais, IL are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to provide support during a maternity leave from August 17 through November 27. In this full-time position, you'll be working closely with a small caseload of 20-25 students, serving both general education and special education populations. Qualifications and Experience Desired:
Valid state credential/certification as a School Social Worker (Type 73 or PEL with Social Work endorsement) Prior experience in school-based settings preferred Experience working with both general education and special education students Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in educational settings
Responsibilities:
Deliver social work services to 8th grade students (20-25 caseload), including both general and special education populations Conduct individual or group counseling to support emotional, social, and academic growth Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to promote successful student outcomes Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to students' unique needs Document services, assessments, and progress in alignment with school and legal requirements Support crisis intervention and serve as a resource to staff for student welfare issues This contract role offers the chance to expand your professional skills and make a meaningful impact in a focused, student-centered environment.
