Job Description

RPC's Early Childhood Education Center is currently seeking a Family Advocate to join our TEAM! This position provides family support and child health services to families with children from birth to 5 years old. RPC is a people-focused agency made up of over 100 programs designed to generate possibilities for all within our community. A great deal of planning goes into creating opportunities where people can succeed on their own, and RPC is doing that work. From analysis to policy guidance to offering services to our communities, RPC's people plan for people. Applicants must have a passion for children and families and the ability to support their success for self-sufficiency. Candidates seeking to join our team must be creative and be able to develop a positive classroom environment for the children that makes learning engaging, effective, and FUN! Bachelor's degree in Social Services or Human Development required or Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of Case Management experience Ability to fulfill DCFS requirements for personnel, including a physical exam, immunizations and a criminal record check Ability to engage families in services for themselves and their child, maintain records of services provided, and support family-identified goals Basic computer competency Valid driver's license Ability to travel to home visits, trainings and meetings. Ability to lift children up to 60 pounds in an emergency. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Prior experience with working with children in an early childhood program is preferred.
