Elementary School Social Worker
DESCRIPTION
Hinckley-Big Rock CUSD #429 is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable School Social Worker to join our team. The School Social Worker is an integral member of the school community, providing services such as crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and individual and group counseling to support students' social-emotional development. This role helps students build the skills necessary to successfully navigate the school environment and achieve academic success. A key component of this position includes coordinating resources and collaborating closely with parents, teachers, administrators and community partners to ensure comprehensive support for student needs. Another key component is working with our special education team and blended early childhood team to develop and support IEP goals and working with our special education students. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong knowledge base as well as interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working with elementary students and supporting students with autism and related disorders is preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
IL Professional Educator License with endorsement in School Social Work
STARTING SALARY
Regionally competitive; following the HBREA collective bargaining agreement
