School Social Worker Student Support Areas:
General education, special education, and one life skills classroom
Responsibilities:
Provide social-emotional support and counseling services to students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Conduct assessments and maintain appropriate documentation Support behavior intervention strategies and crisis response when needed Help connect students and families with community resources and support services
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work required Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement required Previous school-based experience preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with middle school students across diverse educational settings This is a great opportunity for a compassionate professional who is passionate about supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally within a school community.
