Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting high school students through a rewarding opportunity working as a school social worker. In this contract assignment, you'll collaborate directly with educational teams to promote student well-being and learning success. You'll work school-day hours from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with a break for a 50-minute unpaid lunch. This leave coverage assignment runs from August 10th through September 18th, offering an engaging and focused schedule near Hinsdale, IL.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with social work endorsement required Prior experience working with high school-aged students preferred Strong understanding of adolescent development, social-emotional learning, and case management Capacity to build rapport quickly with students from diverse backgrounds Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families Organized, flexible, and committed to confidentiality and ethical practice
Responsibilities:
Provide social-emotional support and counseling for high school students Conduct assessments and develop targeted intervention plans Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to best meet student needs Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as a contributing member of the support team Serve as an advocate for students, helping connect them to community resources as needed Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and district policy This is your chance to use your clinical and interpersonal skills to help students succeed in a dynamic educational environment.
