Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful, full-time contract opportunity supporting 8th grade students as a school social worker for a maternity leave coverage from August 17th to November 27th. Qualifications and Experience:

Active, state-appropriate licensure or certification as a School Social Worker Previous experience in school-based settings preferred Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Expertise in providing support and advocacy for students with varied academic, behavioral, and emotional needs Proficiency developing and documenting individualized student plans

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct social-emotional support and crisis intervention for 8th graders Conduct assessments and maintain thorough records for each student on your caseload Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student success Develop and implement individual and group counseling sessions Support both general and special education students, advocating for their well-being Serve as a resource for staff regarding student behavior and adjustment issues Provide referrals and act as a liaison to outside community services as needed Experience how rewarding it can be to help students thrive in and beyond the classroom during a pivotal year.
