Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a School Social Worker supporting students during an important maternity leave coverage for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, contract position offers the chance to make a genuine impact, working with a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students. Your schedule will run from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, beginning August 7th, 2026, through October 26th, 2026.

Key Qualifications:

Valid School Social Worker licensure or state certification (Type 73 or equivalent) Experience in educational or school-based settings is highly valued Knowledge of IEP processes and the ability to implement student minutes with fidelity Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and document interventions Excellent interpersonal abilities to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide social-emotional support and counseling to students in alignment with their IEP goals and designated minutes Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to ensure a cohesive support system Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to progress monitoring, and maintain timely documentation Help students develop positive coping skills and strategies to thrive academically and socially Address student concerns, behavior, and family issues as they pertain to their educational experience This unique position is ideal for professionals eager to foster growth and resilience among students during a dynamic phase of the school year.
