Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Experience a rewarding opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of students across Pre K-12th grade for the entire 2026-2027 school year. This full-time, contract position offers dynamic work within an educational setting near Mounds, IL, where you'll deliver crucial social work services and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support student growth and well-being.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution Valid state licensure or eligibility as a School Social Worker Previous experience providing services within a Pre K-12th grade educational environment is highly valued Strong communication, case management, and organizational skills Comfort supporting diverse student populations and collaborating with families, educators, and administrators Ability to develop and implement intervention plans tailored to student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct individual and group counseling for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges Conduct assessments to identify student needs and strengths Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and administration to design effective interventions Act as a liaison between school, families, and community agencies to coordinate wraparound services Support crisis intervention and participate in the development of individualized education and behavior intervention plans Advocate for student services and contribute to a supportive, inclusive school environment You'll have the chance to impact learners throughout their educational journey, supporting positive change at every level.
