Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

Low About the Program The LASSO 3 Program serves students in grades K-12 with significant autism-related learning needs. Students benefit from a highly individualized, structured, and supportive environment designed to address: Social-emotional development Communication and language needs Sensory regulation Behavioral supports Functional life skills Academic participation You'll work alongside experienced special education professionals in a collaborative setting focused on helping students reach their full potential. Responsibilities Provide individual and group social work services aligned with student IEP goals. Complete social developmental histories, assessments, and progress documentation. Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Support students with social-emotional learning, behavior regulation, crisis intervention, and communication skills. Consult with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to develop effective student support strategies. Connect families with school and community resources as appropriate. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations. Qualifications Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement Experience in school-based special education or pediatric settings preferred.
