Job Description

The substitute School Social Worker will assist the other full-time SEL staff member at Lincoln Elementary School (prek - 4th) from approximately September - December (2026) during a maternity leave. While the district is optimally looking for 4-5 days of services each week, the district will negotiate the number of days with the right candidate.

Requirements:

A licensed school social worker or school counselor is preferred. However, the minimal requirements to apply are a master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling. Without an Illinois Professional Educator's License (PEL), The successful candidate will be required to get a PEL as a substitute teacher. Additionally, they will be required to pass a background test, and obtain malpractice insurance (typically around $100 dollars).
