Includes evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays; must be available for crisis response outside normal business hours Reports to: Program Supervisor About Us Aunt Martha's Health & Wellness is dedicated to providing compassionate, community-driven care that empowers families to thrive. Our Child Welfare Services (CWS) Referral Program helps families reduce risk, strengthen functioning, and remain together safely through supportive intervention and community-based services. Position Summary We are seeking a Family Enhancement Worker to provide supportive intervention services to families referred through the CWS Referral Program. This role focuses on connecting families with community resources, building stronger family dynamics, and reducing risk factors through coaching, referrals, and direct support. The Family Enhancement Worker ensures high-quality services in a safe and supportive environment while maintaining cultural sensitivity, professionalism, and strong organizational skills. Key Responsibilities Provide weekly in-person contact with assigned families to assess needs and support goals. Make referrals to community-based services and collaborate with providers, service agencies, and collateral contacts. Maintain consistent communication with families and obtain all necessary consent/release forms. Provide transportation to essential appointments (e.g., medical visits, WIC, community services). Offer parent coaching, household budgeting support, and homemaker-type assistance (e.g., cleaning, daily household routines). Monitor and support healthy parent-child interactions. Respond to family crises as needed, including after-hours situations. Participate in consultation and supervision meetings with the program supervisor. Maintain accurate records and follow all IDCFS rules, confidentiality standards, and program procedures. Attend required trainings and maintain updated knowledge of child development, trauma, mental health, substance use, and family dynamics. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred. Experience providing services to individuals, children, and families required. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Familiarity with community resources for families, children, and youth strongly preferred. Knowledge of child/adolescent development, trauma, mental health, substance use, and domestic violence preferred. Experience working with multi-stressed families and culturally diverse populations strongly valued. Must obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification within 3 months of hire. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, clear driving record, and current auto insurance required.
