Job Description

Family Stability Coach Position Summary The Family Stability Coach provides support, encouragement, and practical assistance to individuals and families participating in Grace Horizon services. This role helps strengthen family relationships, support parent-child connections, and reduce barriers that may prevent participants from fully engaging in services. The Family Stability Coach works alongside participants by offering encouragement, resource connections, family engagement opportunities, and practical support that promotes long-term stability and well-being. This position is ideal for someone with lived experience overcoming challenges, supporting families, navigating recovery, or rebuilding stability who is passionate about helping others do the same. The Family Stability Coach helps create opportunities for families to build healthy relationships while ensuring participants can fully engage in services designed to promote healing, growth, and stability. Essential Responsibilities Family Support Build positive, supportive relationships with participants and their families. Encourage healthy parent-child interactions and family connections. Support families in identifying strengths, goals, and opportunities for growth. Provide encouragement and support during challenging situations. Child & Family Engagement Assist with planning and facilitating family activities, holiday events, and special programs. Help create positive experiences that strengthen family relationships. Provide age-appropriate supervision and engagement for children during appointments, classes, groups, and program activities. Ability to interact positively with children of various ages while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed environment. Participant Support Assist participants with appointment reminders and support services. Help connect families to community resources and opportunities. Provide basic guidance in life skills, organization, communication, and problem-solving. Offer practical support that helps participants remain engaged in services. Model healthy boundaries, respectful communication, and positive coping skills. Program Support Work closely with the Resource Team, Clinical Services Team, and community partners. Maintain accurate documentation and participant notes. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and community events. Support Grace Horizon programs, outreach efforts, and family-focused initiatives. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Lived experience overcoming challenges, supporting a family, recovery, caregiving, or community support strongly preferred. Experience working with children, families, or community programs preferred. Ability to build trusting relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong communication and listening skills. Ability to maintain healthy boundaries and professionalism. Basic computer skills. Reliable transportation preferred. Core Values Compassion
