Job Description

The Carriage House, recognized as a leader by Clubhouse International, is an Accredited Clubhouse Program seeking a dedicated, fun and energetic person to join our community. We provide non-traditional psycho-social rehabilitation for adults with serious mental illnesses in a unique setting. Those seeking our help are known as members because they are volunteers, who are not only seeking assistance for themselves, but also use their own talents and abilities to assist others. We do not conduct therapy sessions or psycho-educational groups, but instead operate a Work-ordered Day program where members have opportunity to maximize their strengths in the service of others. This wholistic strength-based approach is supported by research as one of the most effective models of recovery for people diagnosed with mental illness. Staff are asked to participate as a colleague on a team of adults who are helping each other in recovery, as opposed to traditional case manager jobs with caseloads and billing requirements.
