We are currently recruiting a Licensed Social Worker. This full-time position pays $32 an hour and is in Larned, Kansas. The mission of this role is to provide inpatient mental health care and treatment to adult clients in a secure environment, including individuals referred by the Department of Corrections and District Courts of Kansas. The position also supports coordination with community mental health providers to improve public mental health services and deliver high-quality support services to state agencies. The individual will participate in team-based care and provide quality, patient-centered services.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Make collateral contacts with courts, CMHCs, KDADS, CDDOs, and other involved parties to gather and share information while maintaining confidentiality standards. Conduct initial patient contacts upon admission to assess and implement appropriate social services. Develop and implement community-based discharge plans in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies. Ensure patient rights are upheld at all times. Provide patient and family education related to social services, psychiatric conditions, treatment, and self-care. Explain legal status and processes to patients as appropriate. Provide supportive counseling to patients and family members. Complete psychosocial assessments in collaboration with the treatment team. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment progress, family contacts, and discharge planning. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to assess progress and identify treatment needs. Share critical information to support patient care and discharge planning. Provide court testimony as required. Research and apply best practices in psychosocial education. Attend team meetings, program meetings, and other assigned meetings. Participate in performance improvement initiatives. Safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA and applicable laws. Additional duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently; must be self-motivated. Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams. Ability to understand and adhere to required duties, methods, and procedures.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, required. Licensure through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences and Regulatory Board at the LBSW level or higher, required. CPI certification required following hire. Two (2) years of experience providing mental health or counseling services, preferred. Two (2) years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting, preferred.Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am- 5:00 pm; evening and weekend hours may be required.
