Job Description

Team members from all departments will focus on carrying out the EmberHope mission, vision, and values! To be a successful Initial Assessor you must become able to do the following always: 1. Ensure a trauma informed focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery. 2. Support the permanency and cross-over case management teams by completing all initial child and family assessments. 3. Attend the Initial Family Meeting and introduce themselves and schedule the initial assessment. 4. Provide clear and transparent communication on the assessment process and purpose. 5. Conduct the initial assessments including but not limited to the family and child assessment, Child Stress Disorder Checklist-KS (CSDC-KS), Child Report of Post-Traumatic Symptoms (CROPS), and Ages and Stages Questionnaire - Social Emotional (ASQ-SE), safety and risk assessments, UNCOPE. 6. Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company's Program Practice Guidelines. How you will spend your time in this job: 80% Initial Intake Assessment 15% Documentation & Follow Up 5% Meetings and Supervision To qualify for this job, you need to have: Master's degree in BSRB licensable field preferred. License - BSRB license required. Work Experience - Two years of experience working in child welfare, residential or related fields. Strong assessment, organization, and time management skills. 21 years of age. Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening. Maintain company-required training. Ability to travel throughout the state. Physical working conditions - The employee is subject to inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
