Job Description

Regular Full Time Credentials Required:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Early Childhood, Education, Psychology, Social Work, or Human Services.
Special Skills/Knowledge Required:
Two years experience working with children from birth to five years old.
Primary Functions:
I . Assist parents of infants and toddlers with disabilities in accessing needed early intervention services and other services identified in the IFSP, including making referrals to providers for needed services and scheduling appointments for infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. 2. Coordinate the provision of early intervention services and other services (such as educational, social, and medical services that are not provided for diagnostic or evaluative purposes) that are provided or the child needs. 3. Coordinate evaluations and assessments. 4. Facilitate and participate in developing, reviewing, and evaluating IFSPs. 5. Conduct referral and other activities to assist families in identifying available KEIS providers 6. Coordinate, facilitate, and monitor the required service delivery to ensure timely service provision. 7. Conduct follow-up activities to determine the provision of appropriate Part C services. 8. Inform families of their rights and procedural safeguards, as set forth in 34 CFR 303. 9. Coordinate the funding sources for services as required in 34 CFR 303. 10. Facilitate the development of a transition plan to preschool, school, or if appropriate, to other services. 11. Explain to families in detail all requirements of the KEIS payment system, including all provisions for the use of public insurance, private insurance, and family participation fees. 12. Understand using KEIS funds as the payor of last resort.
