A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with on-call requirements.

Hardin, Meade, Breckinridge, Grayson, and LaRue Certified Social Worker Position Summary:
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, provides social work services to patients and families as assigned.
Services include:
assessment, emotional support, assistance with financial and other social service needs, support and guidance regarding end of life decisions, legal affairs, and family assistance in planning for care giving.
Certified Social Worker Position Qualifications:
Must have Master's degree in Social Work. Must be a Certified Social Worker in Kentucky or Licensed Social Worker in Indiana, as indicated. One year social work experience in health care is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license in accordance to policy.
