A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

Job Description:
The Social Worker (MSW) is a non-clinical social work position responsible for discharge planning, case management, and psychosocial support of patients and their families within the hospital setting. This involves completing psychosocial assessments and interventions to assist patients in coping with their hospitalization, illness, diagnosis, and/or life situation and provide support and education to families on how to support the patient after hospitalization. The Social Worker also provides advice or guidance for any other non-medical problem or barriers to care patients may have that may hinder their rate of recovery or delay discharge and serves as a resource for continuity of care options after discharge.
Requirements:
Master of Social Work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education required. KY license as a Certified Social Worker (CSW); Must obtain CSW (preferred upon hire, required within 2 years).
Preferred Qualifications:
