Purpose:
The function of this position is to partner with individuals or families while assisting them in overcoming barriers and setting goals that lead to economic and housing stability. This will occur via appointments, home visitation, and Brighton Center-based group/program activities.
Job Responsibilities:
Service Excellence and Value Proxy. Assist with Emergency Assistance Walk-in and Front Desk Operations to identify and enroll families for the Stable Families program and other Brighton Center programs and services. Provide outreach and information regarding SNAP to customers. Assist customers with the completion of applications and recertifications for SNAP. Complete all required documentation. Maintain a broad scope of relationships. Participate and facilitate family engagement opportunities. Maintain knowledge of overall program.
Requirements:
Excellent customer service skills and a customer first attitude. Experience with case management, family centered coaching and resource advocacy. Commitment to cultural competency and a deep understanding of the significance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A licensed driver and reliable transportation. Experience working in rural communities preferred.
