Job Description
Qualifications & Experience:
Current, active Louisiana SSW (School Social Worker) License/Certification with all necessary endorsements Experience providing social work services in a school setting preferred Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, crisis intervention, and IEP processes Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, staff, and families Organizational skills to track documentation and manage caseload efficiently Flexibility and adaptability to respond to evolving needs within the school environmentKey Responsibilities:
Offer direct social work support to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges Serve as a resource and advocate for students and families navigating school services Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP/504 planning and student support teams Deliver crisis intervention, counseling, and referrals as needed Document services and maintain up-to-date records in accordance with school and state requirements Collaborate with faculty to implement programs promoting positive school climate Benefit from an engaging work schedule of 35-37.5 hours per week, allowing you to immerse yourself in making a positive difference in students lives.
