The primary objective of the home is to provide quality nursing care to eligible veterans, with the ultimate goal of returning them to the highest possible levels of physical and mental capacity. The Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home is seeking a compassionate Social Worker 4 to aid Social Service staff in providing high-quality care to our honored veterans. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus: A master's degree in social work followed by three years of social services experience. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:
Provide individual/group supportive psychotherapeutic interventions. Keep informed of patients' actions and behaviors. Arrange interviews with other agencies as warranted. Document all therapeutic interactions in appropriate medical records. Assist the social service counselors with information relative to psychotherapeutic treatment.
