Job Description
Bastrop Rehabilitation Hospital Inspirations IOP/PHP Psychiatric Program Therapist We are looking for a RSW, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW to join our team. This job is M-F from 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m Bastrop Rehabilitation Hospital operates the Inspirations IOP/PHP to address the needs of chronically and mentally ill patients who do not require hospitalization. The IOP/PHP offers group, individual, and family therapy as needed to assist patients in the program to achieve their optimal level of functioning. This job description has been developed to clarify and specify the responsibilities of the program therapist in this setting and to promote professionalism based on the established scope and standards of their licensure. Knowledge of the Therapy Process Knowledgeable of IOP/PHP criteria Works directly with the Medical Director Contacts Insurance Companies for patient planning Fax referrals along with supporting documentation Communicate discharge details to all staff Request patient information from hospitals and MD offices for updated information Arranges transportation for the patient Makes follow up phone calls for patient satisfaction and re-admits Pre-Authorization status and updated are required Organize and schedule Family Team Conference Maintain confidentiality in relation to all patients, healthcare staff, and documentation Appearance is professional and complies with company dress code Has the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with supervisors, co-workers, patients, families, and vendors. Has the initiative to work without around the clock supervision to complete all task and monitor patients' safety and needs while following all policies and procedures of Bastrop Rehabilitation Hospital. Has the ability to see and pay attention to details, the ability to recognize the component parts of a task and to verify the correctness or error in the task. Has the ability to be objective and to fairly evaluate the different aspects of a situation, and to make an ethical decision that considers all aspects and components. The ability to maintain balance between the needs of oneself, others, and the company at the same time. Has job commitment, the motivation from within oneself to stay focused and committed to a task. The ability to effectively hear, understand, and follow directions or instructions. The ability to see and understand the stated requirements established for a job and personal commitment to meeting them.
