We are looking for a full-time Family Liaison at our Bedrock Recovery Center Location in Canton, Massachusetts.

Salary:

55,000.00 - 60,000.00 annually (depending on experience)

Schedule:

Day shift Tuesday - Saturday (with the exception of one night shift per week)

Job Summary:

The Family Liaison plays a critical role in supporting families and loved ones of individuals receiving treatment. This role serves as the primary point of contact for patient's Emergency Contacts and family members, providing resources, guidance and updates as needed. The purpose of this role is to help family members navigate the treatment process and enhance their understanding of addiction and recovery. The Family Liaison will work closely with patients upon arrival and throughout their treatment stay alongside their treatment team to facilitate effective communication and ensure comprehensive support for families.

Key Responsibilities:

Family Support and Guidance:

Serve as the main contact for families. Upon arrival, the Family Liaison will complete an Arrival Call to identify potential barriers to treatment, gauge family support, provide an overview of the program, in addition to answering any questions family members may have. During the patient's stay, the Family Liaison will provide updates as needed to the family members. The Family Liaison will offer emotional support to families and help them cope with the challenges of addiction and recovery. The Family Liaison will educate families about addiction, recovery processes, and available resources.

Coordination and Communication:

Act as a bridge between families and the treatment team, ensuring that family concerns and feedback are communicated and addressed. Support the Aftercare Coordinators and Clinicians in facilitating family boundary phone calls. Serve as a point person for AMA's in coordinating and facilitating calls to family. Facilitate family visits, workshops, and support groups. Provide updates to the treatment team during Rounds on family involvement and any areas of concern.

Resource Management:

Provide families with information about community resources, support groups, and educational materials related to addiction and recovery. Assist families in accessing additional support services, such as Al-Anon, counseling, etc.

The role requires:

Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction.

Including:

Confidentiality, Patient Rights, professional Code of Ethics and Discrimination. Drug-Free Workplace Policies and Workplace Violence policies. Knowledge of addiction issues and the 12-Step Recovery Program. Patient care charts and patient histories. Crisis intervention techniques and knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose including First Aid and CPR. Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual and their family. Proficiency in Communication, Observation & Written Skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

LADC-2 Certification 3-5 years of Case Management experience in a behavioral health setting

Competencies/Skills:

Problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building. Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health. Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. Observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress. Provide basic therapeutic care or intervene when appropriate on the population served. Assess and provide for the day-to-day needs of mentally, emotionally and/or co-occurring diagnosed patients.
