Lunenburg Middle School (6-8) 1079 Massachusetts Avenue, Lunenburg, MA 01462GENERAL:
The job of this position is to provide comprehensive, evidence based school counseling programming to students in grades 6-8 via individual and group services. Responsibilities may vary depending on need and priorities within each school.DUTIES & REPSONSIBILITIES
- Provide individual counseling utilizing evidence based clinical interventions to students on caseload.
- If required, run small therapeutic groups utilizing evidence based clinical interventions.
- Responsible for providing crisis intervention and conflict resolution services when requested by school personnel.
- Collaborate and communicate with parents, guardians, teachers, support staff, and outside agencies.
- Assess and screen student's mental health symptoms and needs per referral from the student support team.
- Serve as a referral agent and case manager for students and families in developing a network of community supports.
- Responsible for being knowledgeable and conforming to state and system-wide regulations on student records and confidentiality.
