  • Part-time Job Summary The Family Ministry Coordinator will be responsible for planning and developing ministry programs that invite families to know Jesus.
Ministry programs include but are not limited to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Sunday School, Children's Ministry, Family Ministry, Youth Ministry, VBS, and seasonal events/celebrations as needed. This position will be responsible for supporting other church ministries as needed. Responsibilities Provide vision, direction and leadership for St. Paul's family ministry program. Attend weekly staff meetings. Attend Church Council and Christian Education meetings to discuss the needs of the church. Attend other meetings as needed as it relates to Family Ministry Coordinate volunteer efforts for family events, ensuring smooth planning and execution of activities such as retreats, holiday celebrations, and outreach initiatives Facilitate effective communication with families through newsletters, social media updates, and personal outreach to encourage participation Support the church office staff as needed. Experience Proven experience in family ministry or related roles within a faith-based organization or community setting Strong background in teaching, mentoring, or social work with children and families Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate volunteers and coordinate team efforts Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with diverse age groups and backgrounds Experience planning events that foster community engagement and spiritual growth A B.A. or B.S. in a related field or relevant experience.
