Job Description

Overview Do you love working with kids? The Recreational and Preschool Program Coordinator will work to create and maintain a fun, progressive and successful gymnastics program. This position will also work on special events, open gyms, training workshops and activities targeting the preschool and recreational school age participants. Responsibilities Manage and supervise preschool and recreational gymnastics classes.(20% of schedule should be class instruction throughout the week/weekend) To deliver a quality/fun recreational program for both students and parents alike, while maintaining organization, quality, and safety inside the gym. Work to develop and train all staff for sustained growth within the program. Supervise and plan all camps, open gyms and special event programs. Supervise, train, develop, and schedule employees. Review and evaluate staff performance- design a plan for growth and development for each staff member. Training staff on curriculum to ensure that they are achieving both our goals and theirs. Respond to all gymnastics related member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner. Ensure all first aid supplies are filled and easily accessed. Create and maintain progressive, theme based lesson plans Create a end of session skill evaluation for all recreational program athletes Create and develop all Marketing and Media communications regarding the program through all social media outlets. Participate in weekly gym staff meetings and have all program updates available. Develop an efficient class rotation schedule to ensure students get a well-rounded experience. Maintain a clean, safe working environment. Perform periodic equipment safety checks. Assist Director in enforcing gym policies. Maintain an inventory list of equipment and supplies Communicate effectively with parents regarding skill progress, scheduling, etc. Be sure that all appropriate paperwork is completed(Daily skill logs/incident reports/scheduling, etc.) Present a positive professional attitude that reflects the goals and mission statement of Your Journey Gym Cover any and all schedule openings to ensure classes run as expected. Other duties as assigned by Management Join us in making a positive impact on the growth and development of all children in our program!
