The Retreat is designed for patients seeking a comprehensive evaluation and intensive treatment experience in a psychotherapeutic milieu, unencumbered by the payment policies of third parties in order to give our residents a chance to make meaningful progress toward recovery. The Retreat offers an elegantly appointed setting in a specially renovated space on Sheppard Pratt's main campus in Towson, MD (Baltimore County). Residents stay for an intermediate length of several weeks to several months. The Retreat embodies a multi-disciplinary treatment approach to a variety of psychiatric conditions that can be treated safely and effectively in a voluntary, unlocked environment. These psychiatric conditions may include mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and/or co-occurring disorders including substance-use disorders. What to expect. Providing individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Offering supportive counseling and monitoring progress towards treatment goals. Collaborating with treatment team members to communicate patient progress and contribute to treatment planning and aftercare planning processes. Participating in family meetings and collaborative care sessions as needed to support holistic patient care . What we need from you. Must possess one of the following Maryland licenses at time of hire: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Licensed Certified Social Worker
  • Clinical (LCSW-C) Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) 2 years of related experience.
