Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful difference supporting students in a school environment! A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Social Worker. This full-time role offers 33.75 hours weekly, serving Pre-K through 8th grade students in a collaborative setting. You'll share a manageable caseload of approximately 25-26 students alongside another experienced social worker. In this role, you will work closely with students with a wide variety of needs, including emotional disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and other health impairments. Your expertise will help foster positive classroom experiences and promote overall student well-being.
Desired Qualifications:
Active LSW (Licensed Social Worker) in the state—LCSW not required Experience or interest in working with school-aged children and diverse student populations Knowledge of social-emotional learning, behavioral interventions, and IEP processes Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and support staff Flexibility, empathy, and a strengths-based approach to supporting students with varied needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and small group counseling sessions targeting social-emotional and behavioral goals Collaborate with teaching staff, intervention teams, and families to support student needs Assist with IEP development and implementation for students receiving special education services Maintain documentation and student records in compliance with school policies Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings and provide crisis intervention as needed Experience the satisfaction of supporting young students while sharing responsibilities with another social worker.
