Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students' well-being in a dynamic school setting during the 2026-2027 academic year! We are seeking an experienced social work professional to fill a contract position, covering a maternity leave for approximately 12 weeks. This full-time opportunity consists of up to 40 hours per week, providing vital support to students and staff during the August through November period. In this rewarding position, you'll join a dedicated team committed to fostering a positive school environment. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding students through social, emotional, and academic challenges, ensuring their success and resilience.
Qualifications:
Active and valid full school social work certification (must be submitted with application) Previous experience as a social worker in a school setting preferred Familiarity with managing caseloads, providing counseling, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication skills and empathetic approach to student concerns Ability to adapt quickly and function independently
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver crisis intervention, counseling, and support for students and families Work closely with faculty, parents, and special education teams to implement individualized interventions Contribute to the development and monitoring of educational and behavioral plans Maintain accurate records and documentation per school and state guidelines Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, providing insight on students' progress and needs This contract is perfectly suited for a dedicated school social worker ready to support a vibrant school community during a meaningful transition period.
