Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a difference in students' lives as a dedicated School Social Worker for the 2026-2027 academic year! This contract-based opportunity offers the chance to work onsite near Coldwater, Michigan, providing pivotal support and advocacy for students in a vibrant educational environment. You'll have input on your caseload—ensuring your interests and expertise align—with full-time hours and collaboration as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates bring a passion for supporting youth, strong case management skills, and a keen understanding of the challenges students and families face today.
What We're Looking For:
Current and valid Social Worker license in the state of Michigan Direct experience as a School Social Worker or in a similar school-based support role Ability to provide individualized and group interventions for students Strong understanding of social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, and student advocacy Talented communicator, comfortable working with students, staff, and families Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities within a school setting
Your Role Will Include:
Delivering direct social work services to students, individually and in groups Partnering with educational staff to develop and implement student support plans Conducting behavioral assessments and participating in IEP or 504 meetings as needed Liaising with families and community resources to support student well-being Maintaining thorough documentation in line with district and state guidelines
