Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a dedicated school social worker in a contract position based near Coldwater, MI. This onsite opportunity is perfect for professionals passionate about working with children and adolescents in an educational setting. Required Qualifications:
Must hold a current license to practice social work in Michigan Demonstrated experience as a social worker in school-based environments Foster supportive relationships with students, staff, and families Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities
Key Responsibilities:
Assess student needs and provide direct support for academic, emotional, and behavioral challenges Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and outside agencies to coordinate resources Develop and implement individualized support plans for students Assist with crisis intervention and create safe, welcoming learning environments Maintain detailed documentation in line with district and state guidelines Support the implementation of school-wide programs and initiatives This position offers the chance to work closely with a district team, using your expertise to enhance student well-being and success for the entire school year.
