Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a significant impact supporting students' academic and social growth as a dedicated professional working full-time with elementary learners in both special education and general education settings. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering essential school social work services and guidance, serving as a trusted resource for students and working collaboratively with educators and families.
Key Qualifications:
Active licensure as a School Social Worker (credentials appropriate for work in academic settings) Prior experience with elementary-age students, including those in special education and general education environments Strong assessment, documentation, and case management skills Ability to create and implement effective intervention plans tailored to individual student needs Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive educational communities
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs Provide direct intervention services, counseling, and crisis support individually and in groups Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents on strategies and interventions supporting academic and social success Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation for special education students Advocate for students, connecting them and their families to school and community resources Maintain accurate and confidential student records and progress notes in compliance with regulations Experience a dynamic work environment devoted to student growth within an elementary school context.
