Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Make a difference in students' lives as a Mental Health Specialist for the upcoming school year, engaging directly with general education learners near Lake Orion, MI. This contract opportunity is ideal for passionate professionals driven to empower students by providing meaningful social-emotional support.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree and active LARA License required (see Michigan LARA guidelines for licensing). Eligible candidates include licensed or limited-licensed master's level psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, or professional counselors. Credentialed school psychologists, school social workers, or those with relevant counseling credentials (including SCL, PSCC, TSCL, or NT-endorsed teaching certificate) welcomed. Limited-licensed professionals must meet supervision standards. Bachelor-level social workers must be enrolled or plan to enroll in a master's-level program within 24 months of hire.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group social-emotional support to students, addressing a wide range of needs. Collaborate with educators and staff, contributing to professional learning and assisting classrooms or campus-wide. Implement and reinforce positive behavioral programs, supporting a nurturing, inclusive community environment. Serve as a trusted resource for students and colleagues, promoting mental wellness and educational success.
